ok mateBecause the private company willingly singed up to abide by those rules!
To go to court would be absurdly hard and would probably end up even worse for us. I don’t want that!!

He needs to get off his high horse and realise that we know we deserve a punishment and we haven't disputed that. The dispute is the harshness and probable mitigating circumstances that were ignored. Administration gets 9 points, where was the structure of punishment..........was it just made up??Luton Town chief executive Gary Sweet:
"We had a 30-point deduction in one season, we had a point deduction from the FA that they have never awarded to anyone else. I think I should be sitting here saying I don't really care about anyone else, as there wasn't an awful lot of sympathy for us back then. First of all, if you break the rules then you deserve a punishment"
More pee-pot club whataboutery - concentrate on staying up when your purple patch ends.He needs to get off his high horse and realise that we know we deserve a punishment and we haven't disputed that. That Gary Sweet needs to pipe down
The commission will simply recommend that a regulator is put in place now because they cannot abide an organisation that shows that kind of contempt for them. Can we not force them to release the minutes. Shouldn't the onus be on the PL to prove that they didnt influence the commission?
How can we be sure its independent given the info thats out there now.
They are a self regulating industry telling the government to mind their own business, that’s not going to end well for them. They can’t be hiding behind the fact that they’re a private business, when they’re one of the biggest public brands in the world.
Amateur stuff.
Selective amnesia from Mr Sweet as they were sanctioned for financial irregularities and then 20 points for insolvency…a little bit different to Everton’s case.Luton Town chief executive Gary Sweet:

What’s tricky dickie hiding
Hopefully makes it more clear they need to step in as they want it to be closed just have to wait how they respond to his letter nowThe PL and masters have dropped a clanger here. Absolute stone wall stereotypical denial and waffle.
The optics on this are that it will only fuel the flames of regulation and whatever cock and bull reasoning the appeal commission cook up to uphold the 10 points in a few days.
This is going to end one way… masters departing.
As they say in mafia land… “war is not good for business” and there will be certain elements behind the scenes at the PL watching nerviously as the brand is tarnished daily by the clown in charge of the league.
Throw PGMOL into the mix and it’s a disaster of a PR situation for the “greatest league in the world”
Glass houses. Let’s see what happens when they are in the dock for paying box head and Townsend £150k a week with a ground that holds ten fansLuton Town chief executive Gary Sweet:

Especially when fans(voters) are getting fed up with the chicanery. I know there is huge tribalism in football but there are still enough fans of other clubs that want a fair and honest*cough* sportThe commission will simply recommend that a regulator is put in place now because they cannot abide an organisation that shows that kind of contempt for them.

Wonder if the Government will take it further now and use whatever it called to get it.
Clearly hiding something

I thought I saw that headline on football insider alright, but i wouldn't waste a pinch of salt on them. Toffeeweb seem to be right more than wrong afaikOver on ToffeeWeb people are saying that “insiders’ are reporting that we are in for a disappointing outcome. The sooner we find out the better
I'm not sure about thresholds but yes we'd need serious grounds for the courts to step in. The legal opinion that was shared on here the other day about the human rights aspect of the process did indicate a possible path the courts would definitely get involve us.
I don't think the PL could really punish us for going to court if there were reasonable grounds to do so - in fact if they did so it would help make our case that we were being treated unjustly.
It's a last resort because it would become pretty messy, but we should at least maintain the threat of doing so, as City did today putting it out there they could go to court over the related party rules.
