Gbamin

Don't be so daft.
He was signed carrying an injury, it was made worse by him being played before it had time to heal and he's been under almost constant medical attention ever since.
The club signed him, the club knew he was injured at the time, the club played him, so the club is contractually and honour bound to do their best by him medically until such time as he either moves on or his contract expires.
To accuse him of just taking the money and doing nothing, having no ambition etc shows your ignorance.
Yeah, it's crazy harsh to call Gbamin someone who took the money and ran.

To the best of our knowledge, he made every effort and then some to come back. Blaming Gbamin is like blaming Stu Holden for trying to come back from a career-ender on the soonish side. Sometimes guys just low-roll injuries. It happens.

If you want to criticize Brands for the signing, he's been extensively pilloried for that window around here, and for cause. It was a trainwreck by any reasonable measure. I still remember sitting in a doctor's waiting room that winter celebrating the Branthwaite signing. It was the only unambiguously positive moment on the recruitment side of the fence that year, and bringing in Ancelotti on the back of that summer belly flop still seems like a miracle.

Heard he's been on the phone to Niasse, told him to dig in and collect another £4m for sitting in our treatment room then go for nothing next summer.
