It's not a signing you can judge in that way, sure you can say pound for pound the biggest waste of money but we have no idea whether he could have been Gana's replacement due to the injuries. To have one spell out for over a year is unlucky, to come back and have a worse injury almost immediately must be incredibly rare.

No one at the club could have foreseen that so they can't really be blamed, it's just one of those things that is so Everton that.
