Gbamin

One of the worst types of footballer - taking the money and doing nothing. No ambition, no impetus to show his worth, no drive to feel satisfied from playing. No, just getting fat as he sits back and laughs. He's the joke.
To be fair, he has made it very clear he wants to leave. I'm guessing he wants to play football and knows he is nowhere near our squad.

Gbamin was signed from Mainz carrying an injury that we knew about.
It was exacerbated and made significantly worse by the then coach - Marco Silva - choosing to play him instead of allowing it to heal.
I’m very surprised he hasn’t sued Everton if that’s true he would have a very good case.

Don't be so daft.
He was signed carrying an injury, it was made worse by him being played before it had time to heal and he's been under almost constant medical attention ever since.
The club signed him, the club knew he was injured at the time, the club played him, so the club is contractually and honour bound to do their best by him medically until such time as he either moves on or his contract expires.
To accuse him of just taking the money and doing nothing, having no ambition etc shows your ignorance.
Thoroughly agree with this, had no idea he was already carrying a niggle. He didn’t give himself a contract so we are where we are.
Can I ask, is there any traction for a Vic and Bob handbag emoji?

He went on loan to Russia! (And Turkey) He was obviously up for playing.

We can slag him off all we want but we have ruined him with our awful injury treatment.

I dont get people saying he is a bad player, how can anyone know? He has barely kicked a ball for us.

Hasnt helped himself in certain instances of course.

All but the cut are thigh injuries here.
A total of 109 days missed. The games missed is misleading due to breaks in the season.
Injuries reoccurring over 3 seasons.

Shouldn't have gone anywhere near him.

If only Blue Bill and Moshiri had no current or future involvement in the Club. IMHO, everyone whose guilty little fingerprints were on this transfer need to go.

Smoking gun we don't do proper research / due diligence before buying.

….poor signing that Gbamin was based on his injury record, it’s no coincidence that PSV are doing well and we have sunk like a stone since Benitez forced Brands out.

Gbamin was a Brands signing though wasn't he?

Surely EFC's troubled transfer story would make a great " what went book" for a writer.

A bunch of mediocre characters spending loadsa money from a rich, naive owner who is himself
dodgy.

The Gbamin chapter would probably be less racy than the rest because it looks like a simple case
of buying a car from Arthur Daly Enterprises following a heavy lunch. Statistically interesting too, because
you would think that one transfer would have gone right but no.

Even Rafael at LFC when he bought loads of duds got lucky with Luis Suarez.
