Seeing absolutely nothing in our away form to convince me, even with the change of manager. Dycheball may work at home when we have the crowd behind us, but away we are as poor as we were under Lampard. the only point we have is Forest away? Not good enough.

The Southampton result coupled with Bournemouth yesterday are the kinds of results that spell disaster for us unless we can pick up points on the road. I'm afraid I am seeing nothing to give us hope in that regard.

Are we winning all our home games or something, because otherwise I just dont see the optimism spouted here.
I agree our away form is poor but that’s a little harsh on Dyche. The 3 away games he’s had have been against probable champions Arsenal, the derby and Forest who haven’t lost at home since September. We’ve got away games left that we should be looking to pick up points in- particularly Palace, Wolves and Leicester.

Perhaps the thinking that a club with "NSNO" as it's motto can pick and choose which games are ok to throw away is a bit of a factor in why we are currently a country mile behind the likes of Brighton and Brentford, and why we have been in a relegation battle for the second year running...
Reality tells us that those 4 games are the least likely we take points in because of previous results and there much superior players in nearly every position on the pitch

I’d be willing to bet those 5 teams below us would rather be in our position with an extra game played, but more points on the board.
If there were five games left maybe, but not with a third of the season still to play, and not with only a 1-3 point gap. If they do their job, it's in their hands. That's exactly what we'd be saying if it was the other way around.

Mate, I showed the table a few days ago from this point last season...it was competitive with only Norwich looking like they'd gone already.

The next few weeks will see a shaking out of the wheat from the chaff.

Last season we were 5 points adrift of safety with 2 games in hand but having to win them both and with about 6 games left in the season.

In other words: this is a cake walk in comparison with that...even allowing for no Richarlison this time around.
Our next 3 games are obviously tough on paper, but they’re no write off by any means. I’d back us to pick up points in all of them, what we need to do though is avoid 3 defeats as that could put us under big pressure in the last 8 games. After them games, the next run of games is a lot more favourable with Fulham, palace, Newcastle, Leicester and Brighton. Hopefully we can get ourselves safe in that run of games before we play city.

There’s a reason they’re all at the bottom end of the table with less than a point per game at this stage of the season though: They’ve found points hard to come by.

No doubt least likely, but we'd have said that about Arsenal a few weeks back and we got a win. Same with City away, getting a point and not a hammering. We shouldn't be writing those games off. We are 3 points off the bottom of the table. We don't have the luxury of picking our wins with 11 games left.

If we get 4 points from the next 3 games Ild be pleased as punch. It woul place us on a footing to pick up a fair few points in (as you say) the following 8 games.
