Of course not but there's no way they even think they would make a "profit" on them.

Doucoure, Mina, Davies all the end of their contracts so you're already talking minimal fee at most. Keane would be £10mill max.

We need them off the books regardless.

We do, but making a loss on them (whatever they're worth in terms of book value) potentially hurts our FFP situation even more

Plus, in the cases of Doucoure, Mina and Davies - if they're all out of contract in the summer, why leave now and harm your chances of a bigger payday?

It's never as easy as it sounds - you need a willing buyer for a bad/flawed player (not easy) who is willing to pay a price we can live with (even harder) and a player who is willing to move to said team (unpredictable).

No one said it was easy, but it's more to the planning.

If you've known since October/November you need reinforcements to stay in the league, and getting rid of players is the only way to do that....you should be able to in 2 months.

Other clubs seem to be just fine in doing so. We don't look to have anything concrete regarding our goings and incomings

Absolutely zero excuses.

Farhad Moshiri. Bill Kenwright. Kevin Thelwell.

Just as responsible for this form as Lampard.
Think the Thelwell bit is maybe slightly harsh given the context of the situation he's working in - the bits you can maybe lay at his door are the fact he hasn't got a head of recruitment in and him signing off on Maupay and McNeil. The others are far more culpable IMO

Other clubs don't have the likes of Mina and Doucoure sat on contracts in the range of £100k a week when they're worth a fraction of that

I'm frustrated, but I suspect we are still victims of prior mistakes here more than ones we've made this season

I don't though because it's his job.

He knew it was a s***show when he took over. I'm sure he's doing his best. He has to do better.

They're not backing the manager, or the players we have. They're simply leaving them out to dry.

I mean other clubs do have players on big wages though.

We got rid of so much excess in our wages over the previous 18 months now mate.

Lille are paying a good chunk of Gomes' wages. We've got Allan's wage off the books.

We've known what was needed for four months. If Danjuma was who they wanted, go and get it done in the first week of the window. Why wait for Elanga who they seemingly knew immediately would only come in late in the window - and who isn't even very good.

I'll happily apportion as much blame on Moshiri and Kenwright as you like. Thelwell still deserves the benefit of the doubt - if there was money to spend, I'm sure we'd have spent it by now. It seems there isn't and he needs to convince some clubs to buy our poorer players who all earn good money for a price we can accept before we can go and spend anything. That's the reality of the situation - there are people to blame for that, but Thelwell doesn't share as much of the responsibility for it as the other two.

Look at it another way - do you really think we would be in the bargain basement trying to get loan deals for Elanga and Danjuma if there actually was money to spend?
