2022/23 Frank Lampard

The first 5-10 mins of the game, they started well. Energy and having a go trying to score being competitive. Fans were behind it in full voice.

Then 1-0 down and it'd evident whatever lampards ideas were are not working. Everyone can see it.

We get to half time no changes made.

It gets to 3 or 4-0 before a change is made.

It's become a repeat of the Bournemouth games. The way he is setting us up is not working, it's not even coming close to working.

People can see it from miles away. No one has any clue what he's trying to do with the team, what style of play is ours? 4-3-3 is a formation for ruthless attacking with pace and moving the ball quick

Fast passing and patterns of play and burning down the wings, we aren't doing any of this. The players are so slow on the ball, when a runner goes they never get the pass.

I think Frank is probably over thinking his tactics if anything and we just need to play basic bloody football, we would have far better results IMO
I honestly believe that he thinks the players can do it because he could.

He also needs to realise and quickly that he’s not working with Jorginho, Kante or Mason Mount.

Well, he also insinuated they weren't good enough at Chelsea

Managers wont get time to build here.
They're expected to turn water into wine with what they have.
To be fair, 3 wins out of 18 isn't building, it is complete free-fall no matter who the Manager is or how much of a top bloke they seem. It has got to be arrested immediately regardless of the root of the problems stemming from an extremely poorly ran club. It is inconceivable to me to just do nothing and hope for the best. Sort the massive immediate problem albeit short term to try and stay in the league and then en-masse demand a complete overhaul of the club from ownership down.

The fans pay the money that in turn pays for said players wages, if the fans don’t see the effort they’ve every right to boo because every one of us would give a limb to be out there wearing the shirt
But if people care that much they should be aiming to contribute to the success of the club - which surely comes from a base of confidence

You're contradicting yourself. One minute saying the only thing decent about the club is the fans and then the next calling them happy clappers.

The fans are never to blame.
I didn't say everyone is a happy clapper, some are most are not
The fans don't have a hive mentality so there are bound to be some different views.
It's not contradicting to say are fans the majority are great but we have a section that are not.
Some fans are to blame when they applaud failures on the screen.
Look were that has got us

Im not fussed if he's gone today. I dont ever attach myself to players or managers. Last one i did was probably Big Nev.
Im all out of options though as to who mends this quickly. The only option to many seems dyche. And he looked desperate in his last days at Burnley.

100% it's the ego side of the manager that gets them the boot. Happened with the Waiter. It doesn't work, change it...but no. I'll stick my guns because I believe in it....

And as with the waiter, that stubbornness leads to being humiliated. The players then don't believe in you and what you're doing.

He's not experienced enough in our situation to make it work.

He needs to be gone before the United game and have someone in before Southampton. We need a manager bounce to try and take 3 points there.

We left it til after Norwich there and through away a vital chance of 3 points by keeping benitez.

Ffs learn from past mistakes.

i don’t think that’s quite what I said. I said the minimum to expect is that they can move, receive and pass a football and put a bit of effort in.

If that’s your full time job, it’s a minimum requirement.
So you don’t think the Everton players can ‘move, control or pass a football’?

I suspect some of the fans maybe aren’t great players themselves, but happy to sit back in their armchairs and dish out criticism

I don’t want to fire another manager but our PL status comes above all else. The players upfront and in midfield don’t have enough quality to keep us in the league playing the way we are under Lampard. Our two hopes now lie in January recruitment and a new manager bounce similar to 17/18. We can’t afford to get either wrong.
