2022/23 Frank Lampard

Empathy?! How can a run of the mill football fan empathise with someone who earns more in a week than most people earn in two years?!

Do you think players like Mina play for the club because they love it?
Do you think it’s a fallacy to focus on wages and abandon any empathy as a result?

The players on the pitch and those sat around the pitch are all equally human. Remuneration is irrelevant when it comes to mental health etc

First thing first you need to play 5 at the back to make the defence solid enough then hoping to score through counter attack. If something isn’t right, make subs asap instead of hoping some of these poo would turn it around in the second half.

The first 5-10 mins of the game, they started well. Energy and having a go trying to score being competitive. Fans were behind it in full voice.

Then 1-0 down and it'd evident whatever lampards ideas were are not working. Everyone can see it.

We get to half time no changes made.

It gets to 3 or 4-0 before a change is made.

It's become a repeat of the Bournemouth games. The way he is setting us up is not working, it's not even coming close to working.

People can see it from miles away. No one has any clue what he's trying to do with the team, what style of play is ours? 4-3-3 is a formation for ruthless attacking with pace and moving the ball quick

Fast passing and patterns of play and burning down the wings, we aren't doing any of this. The players are so slow on the ball, when a runner goes they never get the pass.

I think Frank is probably over thinking his tactics if anything and we just need to play basic bloody football, we would have far better results IMO
He came to his senses last season and started to grind it out. I'm surprised he's not done the same this season.

I'm not happy with his performances, I should reiterate that.

100% it's the ego side of the manager that gets them the boot. Happened with the Waiter. It doesn't work, change it...but no. I'll stick my guns because I believe in it....

And as with the waiter, that stubbornness leads to being humiliated. The players then don't believe in you and what you're doing.

He's not experienced enough in our situation to make it work.
Spot on

I'd say he has not only lost the dressing room but wouldn't even know where to look for it
It isn’t losing the dressing room. They come out fighting so they are pumped up ten mins. It just completely goes flat after that.
We are one dimensional and teams don’t find it hard to deal with.
What’s more at home we are worse because we are expected to win games so we get picked off whenever try anything more expansive.

So you don’t think the Everton players can ‘move, control or pass a football’?

I suspect some of the fans maybe aren’t great players themselves, but happy to sit back in their armchairs and dish out criticism
This is the most baffling concept I’ve ever heard.

I can’t cook for crap either, but I know when I’ve been served a [Poor language removed] meal.

Dont think he has. 3 days earlier they put a shift in v city.
Maybe we do have to play five at the back at home against everybody. He'll get flack for it but it looks the only option.
I mean bloody hell i saw a Carlo Ancelotti team play like that at Goodison against Burnley.(he got slaughtered for that btw)

Im not fussed if he's gone today. I dont ever attach myself to players or managers. Last one i did was probably Big Nev.
Im all out of options though as to who mends this quickly. The only option to many seems dyche. And he looked desperate in his last days at Burnley.
I think even the most unpopular names knocking about would have a good chance of doing better than 3 wins out of 18 tbh so i am not really that fussed who would take over so long as it is just temporary. The problems are well deeper than the Manager and have got to be addressed as soon as possible for any type of real club building project to commence.

Wonder what Dyche has been doing.

Howe ran out of options at Bournmouth, then I believe got himself invites around Europe to spend time with other managers and teams to broaden his knowledge. Seems to have worked. Newcastle have made some key additions in important areas, but they are without their big money striker, have had other injuries, are rotating Wilson and Wood up front, and have Almiron scoring for fun.

Dyche seems like the likely option, but given how Burnley-fied he is, you’d hope he’d spent the last 6 months learning rather than resting.
