Seamus Coleman isn't up to it.

We'll get beat 5-0 after 5 controversial penalties and 3 red cards for nothing. Then Moyes will pull the referee's mask off and it'll be Dalglish who'll say 'I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for the unfair persecution of Liverpool by the FA and media smear campaign against Luis Suarez.'

He didn't have a bad game at all, at least he was trying. I like the lad a lot but he's not the answer at right mid. We need him at right back sharpish and honing his skills in that position.
Coleman is no better and no worse than any of our other players when played out of position or when played in a way that does not best suit their abilities. Eg Cahill as a second striker runs around exhausting himself to no effect. Saha, as a lone striker with no support became first disillusioned and now, maybe, uninterested, like many before him. I could go on but what's the point?

Coleman is ok but needs to look up a bit more to see what options are on.

In fairness hes no worse than Daniel Sturridge for this who to me would be the most frustrating player to play with ever has all he does is go for the shot and never looks up at all - Hence he scores about 1 in 10 shots!

It's great we've so many options at right mid that Seamus could move to his proper position at RB, isn't it ? Hopefully it might change in January though if Pienaar or Donovan return.

Dunno, he could be a decent right back if he learns to defend.

I'd play him there against Tamworth and again if we get lower league opposition in the 4th round (provided we get through) to see what he's like and get him at right back a bit more.

I just dont think he's good enough mate either at right back or on the wing.

I've said that loads before and been met with 'he's our only player that runs at defenders!', 'he'll be boss one day' or 'Moyes is playing him out of position he should be playing behind the striker like he does for Russia!'

all those who say hes not good enough at rightback are ridiculous, i watched every game he played there for blackpool and he was quality....yes i know its a different league but he looked a class above the rest of the players while he was there

I know you say it's a different league but it's impossible to judge the performances based on the fact the best winger he faced was probably someone like Junior Stanislas in comparison to Young, Nani, Bale etc.

Marlon King's looking boss in The Chmpionship at the moment.

you say bale, and i remind you of when he came on in the first half at rightback against tottenham and got 2 assists and was solid all game

That was when Bale wasn't as good and we were chasing a lead so they just sat back all game meaning Coleman didn't do much defensively, but yes, he was good - he only got one assist mind. Baines got the assist for the Cahill goal after he put a very poor Coleman ball back across.

However, that was (one of if not) his first game when he was very unpredictable. These days Bale would know how to get past him and any half decent left back deals with him easily. I remember his assist for the Saha goal when he looked like he was about to cross then went past Bale. These days the monkey looking fella would see that coming weeks in advance.
