January Transfer Window 2023

I bet Marcus Thuram would be sold for £10m next month.
We did have a look in the summer I believe.

His reps were telling everyone in the summer that he was leaving for free next summer and not before that. But IMO that sounded like them probably just fishing for a big wage offer.

He's a bit of a meff, which probably put few teams off.

No one knows how much we have exactly l.

A few players are out of contact in the summer, also Moise will be sold

I'm guessing 1 or 2 will be sold in this window.

I think there is room for some wheeling n dealing to happen on those basis
Yeah but we as fans can safely assume we don't have £60m to spend unless we're betting on not only staying up but also selling two players. That's fine, like, but neither of those things are guaranteed.

EDIT: And, importantly, the Kean money will already be accounted for in this year's accounts. Let's see but if there was money to spend then they should already be spending it.

Watching some clips of Elanga and hes absolutely rapid and his acceleration especially on the turn is insane...

Could see why were interested and ideally if theres a buy option we could be onto something.

We'd still need a creative player like Kudus and a centre forward but i can see why we'd be interested just based on some clips of his speed and directness.

Again nothing wrong with the signing in isolation - a promising young player for a relatively small fee - but that £9m could have been much better spent towards getting a deal for a forward over the line.

Lampard sees Garner as a 6 too, but he just isn't, at all.

Certainly looks to be able to play as a DM to me. He and Onana could be quite a pair.

Also could move Gana out and Onana as anchor with Garner box to box.

Zat mate we don't have a lot of money

Im more considering sales of players such as Keane, Doucoure, Mina and Holgate...not to mention possibly Pickford.

Thats a lot of wages and a sizeable amount of transfer funds.

I would guess the £28-31mil Kean fee would be counted in the summer.

With the FFP rules as they are though if we were able to use it from the 2023 calendar year then that may enable us to bring in Kudus or similar.

Priorities were all wrong. Lots of us saw it even though highly paid people at the club couldn't and we were ridiculed on here

Quite sure that moise kean fee was due to be paid at the end of the second season meaning before July 1st.

Gordon and Gray are rapid, we need quality in the final ball, killer instinct in the final third, not more raw pace I hate to say.

£20m right?

Wolves don't have the finance nor the need for another striker unless raul jimenez goes. Brentford on the other hand are going to be desperate for a striker with the expected long term suspension on toney. They have a good eye for players so if its true they are interested then that should be a good indicator that he could do well. 20 millions seems a lot but if a lot of it is addons then could be good value.
