So let's look at the facts...

Cahill is huge in Qatar and significant in its football operations. He also advised our board last year in terms of recruitment of manager.

Our owner is in Qatar as is our former board member.

I doubt they are meeting to go over stadium details when half the stadium is already built.

Maybe it's been staring us in the face the whole time.

Yes. These people dont need to watch football with Moshiri. It's a meeting, and for some reason they want to put that into the public domain.

One possibility is maybe agreeing a naming rights deal with Qatar for BMD. With USM having 1st refusal maybe the club/Qatar need either Usmanov or a representative of him (nephew) to agree to waiver their 1st refusal ?

Either way hopefully this is positive for us. iirc Staverley and the Saudi's went public a while before they launched an official bid for the horse punchers so maybe not oot the realms of possiblity that Moshiri is on the verge of selling a stake/outright majority.

They must be very small mate.

I know he's been there for a few years but what exactly is it he does and who is he employed by?

Wouldn’t get more Everton for this to be true on the day that Nuclear Fusion moved a big step closer, signalling the end of oil as a money spinner.

Dont worry.
There's much more to oil than just burning it. In fact, forget global warming, Lubrication ( if you'll pardon the expression) and other uses are...or should be...just as big an argument as that.
Anyway, all those billions of electronic and actual paper dollars won't just disappear

But in principle, yeah Le Ev will find a way to coque it up.

He has a few positions relating to Qatar 22 such as ambassador but his main employment is Chief Officer of Aspire Academy, essentially the production line for Qatar football with the intention of growing the game out their.

I believe the academy has links to European football as he's also on or has been on the board of a couple of clubs in Europe. He lives out their full time.

There is that yes.

If I'm honest, its unprofessional to put such pictures out, but a lot of Moshiris reign has fallen into that.

From afar, I always felt Qatar was an option, with the role Cahill has had. Could have seen him coming here in a similar role on our board.

What's also interesting, is that piece from the Echo yesterday was ludicrous, even for them. It smelt like a piece where Moshiri/Kenwright calls in a favour and asks them to put our an official rebuttal.

We will see. As a club, we would appeal to that sort of owner. Theres a big building development, with further opportunities to come in prime location, a club in a big city and a huge good news story in turning us around. That's sort of what they are after as well of you look at most other investments.

Cahill is a big bit of glue in this, and as you say, highly respected figure in that area. You could easily see them installing him as a CEO. He works closely with Thelwell and also was involved in Lampard.

The other point, is that board member is also the real owners nephew and due to inherit a large chunk of wealth. Sarvar is not sticking anything up on social media with AU say so.

The question will be why has it gone up. It isnt to watch Jordan Pickford together.
