I think it’s incredibly demoralising that we’re likely gonna have this same thread every year for the next few years. Don’t know if anyone else is like this but the total lack of interest in this World Cup has cemented to me that I don’t care much about football itself, more so just Everton and we’re bloody crap.

There are lads here who are 30+ and have seen us win something and I genuinely don’t know if that’s something we’ll experience again, at least for a long long time. This morning I was bored and I got nostalgic for a few years ago ffs. Legitimately I’m not sure I’ll feel as optimistic as I did with Carlo managing us, players like James, Richy, Dom, Digne and more playing well, spending money where we could and that season we finished 11th. I’m nostalgic for 11th. That’s how bad it’s gotten.

It says enough when we look at the fact that most of our players aren’t even at the World Cup. Pickford and Gueye are the only ones who’ve had an impact to their sides and unfortunately for us it’ll probably end up with Pickford being our last sellable asset come the summer if England go far enough, lessening our quality even further.

I don’t think we’ll go down personally, I believe there’ll always be 3 worse teams than us. That being said though I think we could be in for a miserable existence for years to come unless something drastically changes. Having a couple of weeks with no Everton really helps to analyse just how god awful we’ve been for years now. Genuinely don’t know how it’s come to this and been allowed to go on.

I know people joke about Everton should come with a health warning and all that but honestly I’d be shocked if we weren’t THE laughing stock of the sports world, we must be the exact case study on how not to run a sports business, never mind just a football club. It legitimately seems like we’ve not made the correct decision on the pitch, in the back room or on the board level in decades. Madness. Utter madness.

You are truly an exception if you are not throughly enjoying this wonderful world cup. Probably the best tournament ever in quality across the whole footballing world. Attended by tens of thousands travelling vast distances to be there. The cream of footballing talent is on show. Regrettably it will be over soon. Roll on the next one. My two sons are obliging me to continue to renew my Everton season tickets. My heart is no longer in it such is our decline over many years.

I mean it’s not really obligatory, if you’re not enjoying it, don’t renew your one and just keep your lad’s ones, it will give someone waiting on the list a chance to finally have one

Feel the same but will not accept this carrying on dont expect massive changes but is no way the club should be this low

Who can answer this for me with some degree of accuracy?

How much would relegation cost Everton? What about if we failed to come back up at the first attempt and play two seasons in the Championship?

Would we need to massively offset stadium costs by having a firesale in the summer? Not that we have tens of sellable assets, but we could probably bring in £100m or more if we sold Onana, Pickford, Patterson, Lewin and Gordon (dread to think the state of the squad after losing those first three, mind you - we're then at League One quality).

I don't think us going down ever crossed Mr Moshiri's mind when he agreed to take on the stadium project, but now it's a very realistic possibility.

Watch Sunderland ‘All or nothing’ on Prime. Most of your questions above will be answered.

We are just about there already if you include those three...
