Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

G&T Friday comes around so quickly. Tonight's offering is Plymouth gin with orange peel and juniper berries. It was how I was served Liverpool gin the first time I had it and it goes well with Plymouth gin and Fevertree tonic.

Have a good weekend all.

I watched Gordon Ramsey's new show from Cornwall and he drank a gin made in Cornwall but I don't remember the name as I was telling the missus about your escapades on Fridays ,have you seen it ? It is on the normal stations not sky .
We had a tiramisu after the lasagna and I had to have amaretto so no gin for us .

What’s Ramsay’s new show called blue? I’m surprised I missed this as I love his stuff.

If it's the one I'm thinking of just the first episode was filmed in Cornwall. Don't recall the gin bit though.

Hello all. It's pretty chilly here today. Thick frost that has not relented all day. Just been to Tesco - if you like Baileys and have a clubcard, a litre will cost you £10. So I bought a bottle - be rude not to!

Putting the Christmas decs up this weekend and out with our group of friends on Monday for a Christmas meal. I'm actually starting to get into the Christmas spirit. Overtime in the morning and, a little bonus coming my way in March. Apparently there was a ruling some time ago that if you regularly do overtime your holiday pay should include overtime. We've had overtime on pretty much every weekend for the last two and a half years. So we got an email yesterday saying that they are going to pay us a 7.7% increase on holiday pay - backdated to October 2020. Won't be until March 2023 so I'm now looking at is as a savings scheme I never knew I had.

Loving the G and T Friday @Barnfred 55 I like the way you make an effort and have a nice glass and things to go in it. I usually end up drinking the aforementioned Baileys out of a coffee mug. I'm classy like that!

Have a lovely night everybody.

Yes thanks, got back from the funeral a couple of hours ago. 3 hour drive in each direction which my wife enjoyed before she started agitating to come home. It was difficult but it all went as well as it could…..
Serious journey that.

You need to find a bit of time for yourself now to get your thoughts in order and most importantly take time to reflect.

Surround yourself with your mates.

I always do tbf…and I have good bouncebackability…just had too many funerals over the last month…all will be good again tomorrow……
Right attitude.

The mate I buried weeks ago has wiped me emotionally. That so many others are the same and we are openly talking about it has helped immensely. That we can all talk unashamedly about mental health is a real positive of the times.
