Wedding photo of grandmother (Phyllis; only living grandparent) and grandfather (Robert)...moms side of the fam. She's from a tiny (2020 census was 115 people, who knows what it was in the 30's!) town in North Dakota (Wildrose) and he was from another small town; Craig, Colorado. Deffo where I got my height from.

Oh wow. That's fantastic. Her dress is beautiful and would not be out of place at a current wedding. @Gwladysover needs to see this. She loves weddings.
What year would this be? And thank you for sharing it.

Is that called eggs royale? looks very nice, haven't had eggs benedict for years, it's a great thing for a brekkie.

Morning guys. Cold but fair here. I've a Beagle harassing me for a walk an hour early, she can pee off lol

Might have to take an antihistamine as my nose is really blocked for some reason but only when I lie down. Going to change all the bedding and stuff today, not that this should be a reason as I am not too bad at changing my sheets regular.

Have a good one.

Indeed it is, and Eggs Florentine is the version with spinach. I'm going to have poached eggs with some chilli and yoghurt this morning.
Ooh that sounds nice, how do you poach them, can you do them in a pan or do you use a mould? I can't even use the poaching pan properly me although I think I have discovered what I am doing wrong. I'm having fruit pastilles for my brekkie lol

If you're using a pan, add a little bit of white whine vinegar and salt to help them bind, stir the water gently and then put them in for two and a half minutes.

The water should be just be simmering too for them to poach perfectly. Once you've got the knack of it, it's all about the consistency in which you cook them.

I do have an egg boiler and poaching machine too, which we use if being lazy or lots on, but I'll be cooking them in the pan this morning as it's easier to clean.

It's a take on Turkish eggs but rather than having a fried egg, I like a poached one.

Thank you for this, I've never been able to successfully poach an egg. I usually end up with what looks like a load of snot floating round the pan.( Apologies to those having breakfast!)I'm going to have a go at your method.
