Mate. I miss her every second of every day. As I'm sure you do with Nikki. I just try and make the most of what I have left.

She’s with you every day mate, you have seen the little signs. Same with @roydo and Nikki. Always with you but the personal subtle touches when you are least expecting it or just needing it means she is still guiding you every day.

About 2 months ago said grandmother (almost 93), fell down while bringing in some groceries (still driving herself to the store...can't tell her any different, ffs) and broke her hip...luckily someone saw her fall. After getting her bearings after surgery etc, my mom asked her is she wanted anything from home...makeup and curler!! ?‍

She's in decent shape for her age but rarely, if ever, drank and never smoked. Exercise was a foreign word to her though, apart from yard work. Raised three daughters on her own; my grandfather (who I'm named after) passed away at 35 from Hodgkins lymphoma; they think from Agent Orange in the Korean War. I'm going over to my aunts tonight to see them as she' staying there right now (we're doubting her days of independence will come again). She has their old wedding picture up somewhere, I'll see if I can grab a shot.

She sounds like a remarkable lady. They don't make them like that any more. Hope she makes a,good recovery.
