Branthwaite Set to Sign New Everton Deal Amid Summer Plans

Jarrad Branthwaite is close to signing a new five-year contract with Everton, a significant boost for the club as they fend off interest from Manchester United, Tottenham, and Chelsea. With two years left on his current deal—and an option for a further year—Everton have acted to reward the 23-year-old with improved terms following his impressive development.

According to Paul Joyce in The Times, the process to secure Branthwaite’s future began under former football director Kevin Thelwell and continued under new CEO Angus Kinnear and head of player trading Nick Hammond. Everton’s new owners, The Friedkin Group, were clear that the defender was not for sale, with the club targeting stability ahead of their move to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Club captain Seamus Coleman has also agreed a new one-year deal, extending his time at Goodison into a 17th season. Despite injuries limiting him to six appearances last season, manager David Moyes values his leadership highly.

Elsewhere, Everton have offered a deal to Fulham’s Kenny Tete and remain in talks with Idrissa Gueye over a new contract. The club are also pursuing Villarreal striker Thierno Barry, hoping to negotiate down his £34.2 million release clause.
