Armando Broja could be in line for a return to Everton’s matchday squad when they face West Ham United at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The Albanian forward has been sidelined since early January with an ankle injury but has now rejoined full training at Finch Farm.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, David Moyes—who was recently named the Premier League’s Manager of the Month for February—provided an update on Broja’s fitness.
“[Broja] is getting closer,” Moyes said. “He’s back in the mix, though players like Youssef [Chermiti] and Seamus [Coleman] have had a few more days of training under their belts. Hopefully, we can have him on the bench for tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Everton remain without Iliman Ndiaye (knee), Orel Mangala (knee), Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring), and Dwight McNeil (knee), who all continue their recoveries.
