Everton have reached an agreement in principle with Sporting to sign Youssef Chermiti, according to Fabrizio Romano.
A verbal deal has been agreed in recent hours between both clubs for the 19-year-old striker to join Everton.
Having progressed through Sporting’s youth ranks, Chermiti made his breakthrough into the first-team during the 2022-23 season. He had his professional debut at the age of 19, coming on as a late substitute in the Lisbon derby against arch-rivals Benfica in January.
The young talent scored his first senior goal in February, contributing to a narrow 1-0 victory over Rio Ave. As the season progressed, Chermiti continued to impress, finding the back of the net in matches against Porto and Pacos Ferreira.
Both Wolves and Bournemouth have been linked with a move for Chermiti in recent weeks.
