Besic to Middlesbrough

Muhamed Besic is set to join Middlesbrough on a permanent deal with around £6m according to Sky Sports.

The 25-year-old, who spent the back half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough, featured heavily for Everton in pre-season but didn’t do enough to impress Marco Silva, who was keen to offload him to free up space for the loan arrival of André Gomes.

And in what could be a double swoop on the Toffees, Tony Pulis remains hopeful of landing Yannick Bolasie – despite reported interest from Burnley and Crystal Palace.
