Richarlison Reports Re-emerge

Reports have re-emerged linking Everton with Watford’s Brazilian forward Richarlison.

The Watford number 11 impressed during the early part of last season when Marco Silva was in charge of Watford. Richarlison scored five goals and created a further four by the middle of November but in the second half of the campaign the 21-year-old failed to score a single goal.

The Watford Observer report ‘A figure in the region of £40 million is likely to be needed to even get Watford’s attention, but the difficult relationship between the two clubs will complicate matters considerably’.

Richarlison didn’t hold back his anger at Watford’s board for sacking Marco Silva by posting an angry emoji on the social media after news broke of his sacking, with Richarlison later explaining;

“I was asleep in my house and (Watford team-mate) Heurelho Gomes came over, woke me, to tell me the news. I was very sad and I reacted without thinking.

“I owe Marco a lot because he is the one that called me before I came to Watford. I moved here because of him. He helped me every day and was extremely good with me.

“Marco is the person who is the least to blame (for the bad results) but was the one who paid the highest price. The ones on the pitch were the players, not him.”
