Icelandic media are reporting that Gylfi Sigurdsson has either damaged or torn ligaments in his knee.
Sigurdsson played 90 minutes in Everton’s 2-0 home win over Brighton on Saturday but despite completing the match against the Seagulls, it’s now being reported that Sigurdsson suffered a “serious” injury.
His brother Ólafur Már Sigurðsson is reported to have confirmed to Fotbolti that it’s not yet clear whether his knee ligaments are damaged or worn, the outcome of further tests will confirm whether he’ll be out for two to nine months.
