Aaron Lennon is confident the talent in the Everton squad should see the club challenge for trophies and European qualification.
Lennon also spoke of his frustration to have missed the start of the season and his determination to sign for Everton.
Lennon: “It’s been frustrating not playing but I’ve done extra training to make sure I’m as fit as possible. You need a run of games to get up to form and that’s what I’m hoping for.
“There were other clubs interested but I didn’t entertain it. This is the move I wanted all along and I’m over the moon to be here. I was willing to wait and I did that until the very last second. I’m just so glad it went my way.
“Coming to Goodison over the years, you feel that support but I didn’t realise just how good it is until I arrived here last season”
On asked whether he thinks he’ll retire at Everton, Lennon said “You never know in football and I don’t think about it but I can’t see why not”.
