Roberto Martinez told the watching world, in no uncertain terms, that John Stones would not be leaving Everton
Jose Mourinho has told reporters there will be no follow up bid for John Stones.
Chelsea’s initial bid of £20million was turned down just under two weeks ago, with Everton boss Roberto Martinez insisting that Stones was not for sale.
A follow up £26m offer that rejected outright, and now Mourinho has ruled out a third offer for the 21-year-old.
When asked if there would be a third bid he said ‘no’ and added: “I don’t speak about players from other clubs, especially now competition starts.
“It starts for us and Arsenal now [Community Shield] and next week starts for everyone. It’s enough for me.”
