Mirallas: Broken Promises

Kevin Mirallas has spoke of broken promises and subsequent awkward relationship with Roberto Martinez.

Speaking to Belgian press after training with Belgium on Friday, Mirallas said he does not know whether he will leave and he will make his decision after a consultation with his family and a discussion with Roberto Martinez.

Mirallas: “Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid were interested [in January], but Everton obliged me to stay at the club. I understood because our young group performed below expectations. So I had to stay, but in the second round I was suddenly less on the games. There are promises broken and yet it makes for a somewhat awkward relationship with the coach. Soon I have a conversation with him, ”

“I have had a beautiful 2.5 years with Everton. I have experienced many great moments and for that I must thank the club. So I don’t know whether I will leave, it is a decision I have to make in consultation with my family.
