New Crest Voting Deadline – September 15th 2013

Everton fans will have until Sunday September 15th 2013 to register their opinions as to what should constitute the official club crest, replacing the current monstrosity that is in place.

The club announced a new crest for the 2013/14 season earlier this year which was met with widespread derision from the fanbase due to it´s cartoonish looks and missing traditional elements, such as the laurel wreathes and our famous Latin slogan “Nil Satis Nisi Optimum”.

In the face of overwhelming protest which included former players and local politicians, the club has backtracked and pledged to overhaul the crest using fan input. Every Evertonian with a registered customer number will be able to vote on a selection of designed crests, with the winner to be unveiled in early October.

Full details of the crest process can be found on the official website – http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2013/08/22/club-crest-announcement
