Everton 2-1 Real Betis

Everton concluded their 2013 pre season schedule with a 2-1 victory over Real Betis in Roberto Martinez´ first match as Everton manager at Goodison Park.

Jelavic continued his fine pre season form by putting Everton 1-0 ahead on 35 minutes, controlling and converting a Mirallas cross from close range.

Everton somehow found themselves at 2-0 on 62 minutes, courtesy of a freak goal as a Mirallas cross was fumbled by the Betis ´keeper and into the net.
