Paddy’s Preview: Everton vs Tottenham

The Toffees face another test of their top-four credentials when Tottenham visit Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon after a battling 1-1 draw away to Manchester City last week.

Andre Vilas-Boas side have not won at Goodison since 2007 and Everton will be out to ensure their 11-game unbeaten record at home is extended.

David Moyes’ side is 7/5 to make it three consecutive wins in three seasons against the Londoners with Spurs trading at 13/8 and the draw priced up at 9/4.

Nikica Jelavic got the only goal of the game last year on 22 minutes and the Croatian is 11/2 to open the scoring on Sunday or 10/3 to score first for his team with Paddy Power.

Everton to win 1-0 and Jelavic to score at anytime is 3-1 in the online firm’s Wincast market while the half time / full time correct score market has Everton at 14/1 to be leading 1-0 at the break and to win 1-0 after 90 minutes.

Marouane Fellaini bundled the ball over the line at the Etihad last week to give Everton the lead before a Carlos Tevez penalty ensured City shared the spoils.

Moyes took the result as a point gained and not two lost but was furious about the penalty award.

“It was not a penalty kick, nowhere near a penalty kick,” Moyes said afterwards.

“They’ve had quite a few here recently and that one was easy. If you´re going to give them goals, it can’t be like that.”

Belgian international Fellaini will be looking for goal number nine in the top tier on Sunday and is 8/5 to score against a Spurs side who have beaten West Ham, Liverpool and Fulham in their last three Premier League games – scoring eight and conceding just two.

Paddy Power bet 7/1 that the Toffees can repeat last year’s 1-0 scoreline at Goodison and Fellaini to score first and Everton to win 1-0 is 28/1 in Paddy Power’s Scorecast betting.

Everton to score exactly one goal is 9/5 while the Toffees to win by exactly one goal when the final whistle blows is 13/5 with Paddy Power.

Irish defender Seamus Coleman scored in the 2-1 win in the 2010/11 season is 9/1 to score at anytime over the 90 minutes. Everton to win and three or four total goals in the game is available at 10/3 in the team goals in match market with Paddy Power.

Everton to score the first goal up to and including minute 26 is 12/5 in Paddy Power’s Timecast betting while Everton to score exactly one first-half goal is 6/4.
