David Moyes thinks Ross Barkley “is ready to be back around the squad” following lis loan stint at Sheffield Wednesday.
“I think he is ready to be back around the squad,” said Moyes at his Friday press conference.
“If I didn´t have the injuries, I would have left him out on loan because his development would be better playing games. I have brought him back because of the amount of games we have got in November, December and January.
“I hope we can look at him but if I don´t think I am going to play him I will look at putting him out on loan in January again.”
“He is a young boy, he´s 18. I can think of Leon Osman who did similar when he went to Carlisle and then to Derby. We will look at him and see how he is over the next couple of months.
“From what I have seen he has matured a bit and come on a bit with the games he has had at Sheffield Wednesday.
“The experience has helped him. With young players the games make a big, big difference.”
