Everton and England international Jill Scott has admitted her concerns as Everton Ladies´ new boss Andy Spence continues his clearing of the decks.
In the last week Natasha Dowie and Scott´s international partner Fara Williams have left to join Liverpool.
“I was shocked and it´s no secret that it´s a big loss to Everton. Fara was one of the reasons why I signed for Everton six years ago, she is a top international player and I feel like I have learnt loads from playing alongside her. I wish her all the best for the future but I´ve told her already we can´t be friends now she has joined Liverpool!” Scott joked.
Scott added “From a personal stance, I´ve had a new contract offer from Everton this week, but I am being totally honest in saying that I´ve not made a decision yet as I´ve not had time to weigh things up. I don´t want to be the boy (or girl) that cried wolf and say something which I then change my mind about.”
It certainly is a worry for Everton ladies losing top talent but Scott admitted “…with three months until the start of the season there is plenty of time for the new boss Andy Spence to bring in new faces and it will also probably kick off a busy period where there will be plenty of movement between clubs.”
