Dramatic Comeback Secures Everton Win

Everton completed a dramatic comeback to earn three points against a defiant Sunderland at Goodison Park, thanks to two goals in four minutes from Marouane Fellaini and Nikica Jelavic.

A last gasp first half strike for Adam Johnson looked to be enough to secure all three points against a misfiring Everton.

However, a fine strike from Marouane Fellaini after great work from Coleman and Osman gave the Toffees the equaliser after 76 minutes, before the Belgian turned provider, flicking through for the run of Jelavic on 79 minutes, who turned the ball home beyond the despairing dive of Mignolet.

A nervy last ten minutes commenced, topped off by five minutes of stoppage time but Everton did enough to hold on and secure a vital three points, ending a run of four successive draws.
