Everton Two was reopened by a true Club legend on Saturday as Dave Hickson paid the city centre megastore a visit.
The Liverpool One shop has been closed for a revamp, but once again opened its doors as the Club’s stunning new Nike away kit went on sale.
And hundreds of fans turned out to see the much-loved Hickson cut a ribbon at the front of the store and be among the first to get their hands on the 2012/13 changed colours.
Hickson, who got a great cheer from the waiting supporters, said: “I was really delighted to be invited along to launch the store.
“It looks absolutely magnificent and I love the new kit too. The players will look very smart in it next season and I am sure it will be very popular with the fans.â€
Several hundred supporters queued patiently as the Blues took over Liverpool One for the day.
The new black strip was flying off the shelves and the queues persisted all afternoon.
Radio City’s Simon Ross entertained the waiting fans while Hickson, whose image appears on the wall in the shop, stayed to meet and chat with Blues long into the afternoon.
