Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol has claimed Atlético Madrid have contacted Everton with a view to appoint David Moyes as their manager next season.
Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero has this week revealed the club will reconsider their current manager Gregorio Manzano during the winter break, admitting the board to be “outraged” with a recent defeat to Espanyol, confirming Manzano´s position at the club to be perilous.
Although Jose Luis Perez Caminero earlier this week advised Atletico had yet to begin talking to any potential replacements, Spanish journalist/TV presenter Josep Pedrerol – host of a popular Spanish sports show, reckons David Moyes has been identified as their preferred choice and that talks have began between Atletico Madrid and Everton.
The Vicente Calderon outfit are currently 10th in the league standings and trail leaders and city rivals Real Madrid by 21 points.
