Moyes Dampens Kenwrights Promise

David Moyes has admitted he does not know if any money will be made available to him to spend in the January transfer, weeks after Bill Kenwright publicly promised funds will be made available.

Speaking in November, Bill Kenwright assured fans David Moyes will have money to spend in January and claimed targets had already been identified

But it appears the assurance has fell on deaf ears to the Everton manager, who told on media today that he is unsure if any money will be made available to him.

David Moyes: “We have been saying for a while now we need a striker, and that is obvious from our performances – but they are the ones who cost the money,” t

“I don´t know yet if there will be any money, so we will need to wait and see what we can look to do in January.

“The thing is, the type of player that will improve this team now costs money, real money, and January isn´t always the best time to try to purchase a player.

“But we need a striker badly. We needed one badly last season if we are honest, and maybe even the season before.”
