Jack Rodwell believes there are plenty of young players at Everton capable of filling to void left by Mikael Arteta´s departure.
Rodwell: “He´s a great player, he´s a good lad as well. He´ll be sorely missed but it´s a good opportunity for him and we´ve got a lot of young players who can fill in.
“Am I ready to step up and fill his boots? Yeah, definitely. I´m ready now. I feel fit, I feel sharp and focused.”
Rodwell hasn´t hit a level bestowed on him, limited to just 41 starts in three years but reckons now is the time he´ll prove himself to the Clubs fans.
“What I´ve been missing in my career is 30 back-to-back games and getting a good run of form and confidence,” he added.
“So hopefully this season I can do that. This is the season for me.
“Last season was frustrating. I couldn´t really get a pattern of football going and I wasn´t really fit.”
