Legend Joins Barkley Fan Club

Everton legend Graeme Sharp has joined the rapidly growing Ross Barkley fan club, heralding the 17-year-old as looking “very very good”.

David Moyes took an unconventional step in his approach in singling out Ross Barkley as a ´really special talent´ and ´one to keep an eye out for´ back in April. Tim Cahill told GrandOldTeam in June that Barkley was the best player he had ever worked with, and predicted big things from the ´special talent´ and now Graeme Sharp has spoken of how impressed he was after seeing him up close in the Clubs tour of America.

Speaking to evertontv, Sharp: “I thought young Ross Barkley did ever so well in the first half against DC United,”

“It´s the first time I´ve really seen Ross up close and I thought he looked very very good.

“He looked comfortable coming in off the right hand side, he made one of the goals and was involved heavily and he can be very pleased.”
