Everton striker Victor Anichebe has accepted a six figure out of court settlement sum from Newcastle Utd.
The payment relates to compensation for the injury which sidelined the Nigerian for almost a year caused by a horrific challenge from current Newcastle skipper Kevin Nolan. The sum includes loss of earnings and bonuses for club and country during the period of time the player was injured.
The striker also missed out on the opportunity to play in the F.A. Cup final that year. The player could potentially come head to head with Nolan, who was shown a straight red card for the incident, in Saturdays match at St. James Park.
