Zaha to them is probably the difference between lower mid-table and a serious relegation scrap.

I don’t think he’s worth anything near £65 mil, but can’t blame them for trying to squeeze the most they can out for him, he is that important to them.

Could backfire if they don’t leave themselves enough time to actually spend the money though!

He is to palace. As you said if they become embroiled in a relegation scrap (which will be likely should he leave) relegation would cost them 150m

Exactly. You pay a premium for players who are tried and tested in the premier league, allied to zaha’s importance to palace, you can see why they value him so much.
 
Not sure about this, the price is mad if what's reported is correct. I don't think he's that good at football to justify the price. Hope money isn't wasted.

One of the biggest mysteries in life is why Arsenal seem perpetually skint. It's proper weird.
