For what it's worth - someone posted a peek at how he's evaluated by one of the top stats companies that isn't usually available to the public:

His last two seasons. That's basically largely 'very very good' in the Turkish league but I still have huge reservations about:

- That big drop-off between last season and this in xG, shots, shot OBV (roughly: shot quality), touches in box, aerial wins, xG assisted..
- Him being a flat track bully against the weaker teams in the league
- Stylistic fit, he's even less involved in build-up than Beto and Barry and even more reliant on service & crosses which does not point to a success here this season

If we can sell Beto & loan him in until the summer then there is zero risk.

Not the type we need to be buying & hopefully we go big on someone like Kroupi for example and this is a stopgap.

….will he be the most skilful forward Everton have EVER had or is that another Youssef?

The risk is in the summer the recruitment team will look to buy another jarg forward

Only ever scored 2 goals against the current top 8 in Turkey, while playing for one of the incredibly dominant clubs.

A list of some other players who scored 14 or more goals in that league last season:
Krzysztof Piątek
Ali Sowe (?)
Simon Banza (??)
A 35-year old Immobile
Mame Baba Thiam (???)
A 39-year old Dzeko

Beto or Barry would have scored 20 playing for Fenerbace too, you can absolutely guarantee.

Anyway, temporary cover because we're selling Beto for a good price, fine. Extremely glad it's not a perm.
Scoring goals is secondary for strikers in this team, 1st priority is holding the ball up, providing knock downs to midfield runners and closing down defenders.
