Well he was training with the first team in 2022 inc the US tour and slotting for fun in the U21’s when he was 18, went on loan, was crocked & missed a season or so, disappeared off the face of the earth and was flogged to Oxford.

Chermiti on the other hand has been injured for 8 months and counting, which of course can only be good for his development at 20 🙄

But you make it sound like his entire career is in jeopardy as if no kid has ever come back from a big injury.

Which bit? Was it the;
‘I am beginning to fear for his chances as a top flight player now
or the
Hopefully he comes back this season and can get some minutes under his belt

That suggests I think his entire career is in jeopardy?

Classic GOT hyperbole.

Erm yes, the bold suggests that…

You’re concerned now that he won’t play top flight football anymore.

Suppose it depends what you view as top flight I guess, but I’m talking about the premier league.
in my humble opinion, a 19/20 year old missing a season at that age isn’t ideal, and has the potential to jeopardise a top flight career.
Doesn’t preclude a professional career in lower leagues, and I’m certainly not suggesting it’s career threatening.
Even Moyes states his concern for the amount of football he’s missed in his presser today.

Moyes said “just the length of his time he’s been out is what we’re a little more worried about” when asked how close he was to being back.

Which means they’re not rushing him back not that Moyes is worried he now can’t develop into a PL player 😂 how you interpret press conferences seems bonkers to me.

I'd assume the first part about his chances as a top flight player 😂 We only only care about top flight players on here.

Exactly, as if Moyes would say the lad might be done as a premier league footballer in a press conference.
