There is nothing wrong with securing potential from abroad on lower fees we should be doing more of it. Also not his fault he is injured. I do think he has potential. But when we have huge gaping holes in the squad and a very limited budget, we need every player to be able to come in now and again or to develop on loan, and he clearly was not ready to do that so needed a loan last season but we couldn't due to numbers. Meanwhile we were crying out for pace on the wings and another left back, yes buy potential its the only way we will progress but they need to be an option too. When you consider the lad is a similiar age to Ferguson and has barely played for us in two seasons when we are on the bones of our arse as a squad and very little wriggle room, it is right to question all money spent, same as that spent on Beto. Regardless of financial constraints and excuses the alignment of recruitment between dof and manager, and the talent ID is also questionable. It has to improve or we will not progress. So its not about Chermiti, is is a deeper issue with recruitment.

He’s clearly got a serious injury so why don’t they just come out and tell us?

More or less exactly how I feel about the situation. In its most basic demonstration about the kid, his YouTube videos were shocking. Bambi on Ice a but of an understatement. That amount of money for a player for the future when we needed someone for the "now" gross incompetence.

I hate these untimely injuries. The lad looks real bright in preseason then his leg falls off. Hopefully it doesn't stunt his development and he can come into a good environment. Would like to see him succeed

I am beginning to fear for his chances as a top flight player now, he’s missed a lot of football this season and I often think this period is quite crucial in the development of young players.
Hopefully he comes back this season and can get some minutes under his belt.

….i’d be more concerned he failed to make an impact before the injury but he’s certainly young enough to come through if he’s good enough.
