Dyche has shown he won't really give youth a fair crack of the whip. We've paid out on the lad and the only way he can either help us win matches or flip him for a profit is if he plays.

I'd imagine he will start in the cup though, so just got to hope he makes a huge impression on us all.
Thelwell has bought Chermiti as a player to develop and nurture into a decent forward over time, rather than throw into the starting XI right now.

It's not a case of Dyche not wanting him, but rather a case of Dyche needing a capable centre forward now, which is also what the fans are clambering for.
 
I am very happy we are making signings like this. It is our best hope of rebuilding a team over a few seasons. We need to let the player settle and that will take time.

However, given that our financial situation seems dire it does seem like an unusual signing.
I can only imagine the down payment was tiny.

I understand but if you don't play him is he ever going to get better? I don't think he should start games but if we need a goal in a game or if we ever get a comfortable lead again he should be brought on but I don't think he'll even get that with Dyche.
