I've never felt this bad and I think it's an accumulation of years of mediocrity and seeing the others doing remarkably well and their club being run immaculately. People have now had enough after years of this and it took Sundays defeat to break that. Like I said the other day, theres only so many times you can walk out of a football stadium feeling like you've had the stuffing knocked out of you before you finally snap.

My opinion hasn't change just because we lost last Sunday. We still need to build a squad. We go back years each time we buy a poor player or sack a manager.

I'm optimistic as long as we get our transfer targets right. That was our problem.

Just don't have any optimism at all atm, hoping that come the end of the transfer window with a couple of decent player acquisitions that might change.

But I'm not overly optimistic about that happening either, damn you Everton.

Not going to lie, this week has been tough to be a blue with the manor of the loss on Sunday plus constant negative attack from the media, it's saddened me but that said, still feel optimistic but strongly depends on whether we can bring in some loans or signings or whatever the financials can actually provide us

Like many I’ve recently renewed.....for the twenty something season in my case. Unless there is optimism and a belief it’s going to be better than the year before you can choose not to do it.

They do my head in, give me an occasional joy that is hard to explain, but it’s Everton. Its my team, always will be and there is a connection that makes me believe they are better than I see on too many occasions if you are not optimistic, walk away and find something else to waste your time money and energy on.

I know it’s the belief that kills you but it is what it is. They test you in a way like no other and probably don’t deserve the support they have, but it’s Everton. If I didn’t believe, I wouldn’t care.....but I do, because I know how good it is when we win, not just at home or away but when you are top of the pile at the end of the season. It’s your team, my team....that’s what I want to see again.

I'm optimistic.

This is purely based on the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti, who I consider to be world class.

My enthusiasm for football in general has been knocked out of me in recent years, I barely recognise the game I grew up with, and I'm not yet 40... Same with Everton, we've made some mad decisions since coming into money and I can't really warm to any of our current personnel for one reason or another.

Normally I'd consider what I'm about to type as a dangerous thing but I think that our board are in awe of Ancelotti. I believe they'll back him in any way they can - bad news for a lot of our current players. Thankfully I trust Ancelotti to deliver for us.

THIS!

If we didn't have Ancelotti at the helm the future would be bleak.......but we do and it isn't.

Cup game was a disaster and we have a lot of clearing out to do. That's going to be difficult as we have poor players on big money.

Some decent results in the league.

Got a better manager in than we could have hoped for. He needs time and support.

I'm essentially optimistic because we have Carlo. Prepared to be patient to see what he does.
He has already shown he's not prepared to make excuses for players who are just not up to it. No surprise that Keane, Walcott and Siggy are looking like they're on the way out of the club.

I am “extremely optimistic“.

But I always am :)

It is the only thing that keeps me coming back match after match, season after season, decade after decade.

Yes, I still feel humiliated and angry about Sunday but I firmly believe things are going to improve in the near future.

Keep the faith, guys.

:celebrate:

You’ve written pretty much word for word what I’d have written there
