get signed on about a month before, that way you can transfer dole to another euro place for 3 months
greek islands were superb for casual work, you have to accept that you may not work all the time though as they can have dead weeks on the quieter islands with busy weeks either side, quiet week =no work. you wont make a fortune but you'll get a summer in the sun for free. there will be loads of student types doing the same though so it pays to get over early and get your face known. agood place for a bit of cash after greece is italy for apple picking, very hard work but will lob a bit of wedge your way for 5 weeks work.

Best mate moved to Oz in January- would be great to go over and see him. Just need to have the funds. Flights alone are crazy expensive.
