Can't believe how many people seem to like garlic. It is my number 1 hate of all time. I would rather have my eyes pricked with a needle than eat garlic.

I wouldnt eat a garlic clove, but I absolutely love it in a dish.

Same with celery. Hate it, but without some celery a shepherds pie is crap.

Not sure a jacket potato needs garlic! Nor a cornetto.

Good to see the Pride is still a constant.

Celery carrot and onion are a staple base for all of my sauce based dishes. Otherwise known as Mirepoix.

Never heard of that other sauce though. Will give it a go with sommet though.

No that's the name of the 3 together. I always put onion carrot and celery through a mini blender, it looks like sludge but gently fried off it's fantastic.

Thats what I do for a shepherds pie. Never occurred to me to try it with sommet else. Might have a play with that. Does it work with beef mince/meat balls?
