Nothing tonight.... Mrs Kurt took me out for lunch today at a local garden centre where I enjoyed a roast beef and onion baguette with lovely chips and a nice bit of salad. It was lovely.

You going to let her have some food later?

Most countries in South America have a similar sausage, or what you all call black pudding. Probably the main difference is the spices and a few of the ingredients. In some of Colombia's regions they stuffed it with rice but also with dry sweet peas and spice it with oregano, cilantro, coriender and there is another spice that is local to our region that gives it a special flavor.

How long ago did you travel to Uruguay? I agree the steak in South America is pretty delicious. In some parts of Colombia they cook them in open fire and all those flames from the wood give the meat great flavor
I was there in 2001 I think my last time, so quite long ago. I was on a ship, on my way to Antarctica

Coming into summer here, tomatoes cheap as , so doing one of the family favourites. Simple italian style, skin and de-seed the tomatoes, lots of them, then cook them off in butter, bit of garlic, mascarpone cheese, touch of chili and top off with fresh basil. And rigotoni pasta. Lashings of red wine.
