[Poor language removed] this i'm moving to Denmark, fancy a lodger for a bit

I currently (and for the last 5 years) work for a well known window manufacturing company based here in Norwich.

Its [Poor language removed]. Well kinda. Its like most jobs really i guess, has its plusses and its minuses.

The most important thing for me really is that i get on with the people i work with. First place i've worked where there are no assholes to put up with (apart form management obviously lol), we do have a good laugh during the day.

Can be quite hard work pushing heavy windows around all day but its pretty relaxed in my area so i can stop for a cup of tea when i want.

Just a shame i'm on the lowest paid job in the company with no prospect of improving that.

The standard of living is really high for the average person here. Interestingly, the standard of living for those in the top jobs is actually lower than in the UK. It's basically a more equal society. The only problem is that it's actually quite boring out here. People have more spark in the UK. They are generally more interesting and have more to say. Other than that, it's paradise

Do you like it?

I started mine after sacking in College in December as an admin assistant in a hospital and really like it at the moment.

I don't dread getting up in the morning and the money for someone my age is great.

I've always said though, i would rather be happy then earn abit more money and be really unhappy.

Views?

Im on the same boat as you Cal.

Working in a busy A&E department in a hospital in East Belfast, currently the busiest hospital in the country, it can become tedious at stages, but then again so do all admin jobs?

I get to meet new people everyday and have made some good friends as you work with so many different nurses and doctors, so a good social side to it also.

The money is not bad for someone my age (21) and the added bonus of being off every Monday and Tuesday (I work 12 hour shifts on Wed/Thurs and one half day at weekends instead) helps me if I stay at my mates in Liverpool after Sunday Everton games!
