Your Christmas Eve

Hit Sainsbury’s for when it opened to pick up fresh bits and some last minute stuff we forgot. Picked up the meat from the butchers.
Now I’m a domestic god wielding the hoover and a duster while Mrs Winchester cooks the meat.

Aim to sit down and chill any time after 4pm

Done....
Dropped Mrs CT off at work - my day off has fell on Xmas Eve
Went Tesco for a few little bits - getting full at 7:50am!
Washing, cleaning etc and wrapped the last couple of presents.

To Do....
Drop presents off at Mrs CT's mums house
Make tea
Pick Mrs CT up from work and drop pressies off at grandkids. Mrs CT working again Xmas Day so she wants to see them before Xmas morning.

Ideally I'd go and meet a few from work for a few drinks when they finish later but knowing I'm driving tonight means it'll only be the one.

Working until midday although as it's absolutely dead I've got the Nutcracker on the telly. Trying to bribe my eldest to get dressed by stating the chocolates don't come out until she's dressed. "Meh" was the response I got. Kids these days.

Got a ham in the oven roasting that'll come out shortly. Pick youngest up from nursery at midday, then at 3 fetch Mother in Law from the railway station. Parents will likely arrive at the same time.

And then... I can finally have a beer. Host the family, do ham egg and chips for tea, write some cards for the events tickets I bought people and then watch some telly, eat chocolate and a few drinks. Not too late to bed as the kids will inevitably be up at stupid o'clock.

Gone are the days of hitting the pub at midday and stumbling home at 2am with a festive kebab.
