Interesting trivia, the US version of the book ends with the words: ‘I was cured all right.’ which is how the film ends but there was another chapter afterwards, the 21st chapter.
The film ends were the shorter US version of the book ends and dosent include the final chapter printed in the British book. In this last chapter Alex grows up into a decent person.

The mother duck in the children's book "Make Way for Duckling". I used to live in the Back Bay of Boston where this book takes place and I love how McCloskey (the author) captures the proudness of mother duck walking in front of her flock of little ducklings as she leads them to the pond in Boston Commons. I read this book as a kid, and now I'm reading it to my kid.
