May only be League 1, and he's not super young anymore, but still pretty impressive that he's been named captain as a loanee.

Joey Barton will know him well of course from his loan last season.I think this is his 5th season on loan so he’s playing to find which team and which level he starts next season. Good luck to him , Connolly has long been one of my favourite youth players despite never quite showing that extra bit needed to make the first team.

Interesting listening to the unholy trinity podcast. That El pivote was on it, whether you think he knows his stuff or not.

They were talking about Brands Abd possibility of him leaving, he seemed to think it would be a strange one, with them employing Chris Perkins and apparently they’ve sacked quite a few people from the youth set up and will be getting new coaches. And setting up the youth teams to play like the first team.

I was shocked there wasn't a host of league 1 and championship clubs after connolly in the last window, he'd be an absolute steal for them.
He's quality and versatile in a number of positions so worth his weight in gold at that level.
