Championship
Hull City - Josh Bowler started and was substituted in the 62nd minute of a 0-1 away defeat to Derby County

OS Match Report

No particular comments about his performance.

Wigan Athletic - Kieran Dowell played full match in 1-2 away defeat to Swansea City

OS Match Report
"But two minutes later, Latics were ahead as they broke on the counter with Antonee Robinson driving forwards on the left and playing in Dowell, who squared the ball for Byrne, who showed great composure to finish past Woodman."
"Latics made a brilliant of their own ten minutes before the break as a lovely turn from Dowell presented the opportunity for Robinson to go in on the left but he couldn’t find a convincing cross and Ben Wilmot cleared for Swansea."
"Latics responded with a chance for substitute Moore as Dowell battled excellently to win possession back from Roberts before crossing for the Wales international, who headed back across goal only for the ball to be cleared."

Twitter stuff
16' GET IN!! @NathanByrne_ gives us the lead! Counter from the middle, Morsy wide to Robinson, on again for Dowell to cut the cross through the box, Byrne takes a good touch and finds the left corner with his effort from the centre! (0-1)
34' Really well worked by Latics, from right to left, into the feet of Dowell, he spins and feeds Robinson wide on the left, but the cross aimed for Williams is turned away. (1-1)
73' Good work on the left, Dowell with the desire to keep the ball alive deep into the corner, gets his delivery to Kieffer Moore, but the striker's header is blocked. (2-1)

Fan comments
"What on earth have we signed dowell for, he is another lightweight, slow passenger."
"He should be playing in a No.10 position like Powell did. He isn’t a wide player."

League One
Fleetwood Town - Callum Connolly played full match in 2-2 home draw with Shrewbury Town

OS Match Report

No particular comments about his performance

Matthew Pennington and Fraser Hornby were unused substitutes.

Apparently both Kieran Dowell and Josh Bowler have suffered longer-term injuries - Dowell being stretchered off playing for Wigan last night.

So currently the state of play (I think) for the younger players on loan is:
Matthew Pennington at Hull City
Nathan Broadhead recovering from injury but still on loan at Burton Albion
Callum Connolly at Fleetwood Town
Morgan Feeney at Tranmere Rovers
Jonjoe Kenny at Schalke 04 (he shared in a very bad loss to Bayern Munich the other day)
Fraser Hornby at KV Kortrijk

League One
Fleetwood Town - Callum Connolly played full match in a 0-0 home draw with Coventry City

OS Match Report

League One
Tranmere Rovers - Morgan Feeney started and was substituted in the 92nd minute of a 0-2 away loss to Bolton Wanderers

OS Match Report
"Morris’ right-sided corner was met by Feeney at the back post on the half-hour mark, though his header across goal was punched away by Matthews."

Twitter stuff
9' | Feeney blocks Murphy's shot at the near post
29' | Morris' reaches Feeney at the back post who nods back across but the keeper punches away

Fan comments
"He made a mistake for the first goal, but settled and did ok. However, I think he needs someone more experienced alongside him"
"I think he had a decent debut. It was really unfortunate that he was thrown into a reshuffled defence in respect of formation and personnel."

Fleetwood Town - Callum Connolly and Lewis Gibson played full match in 2-1 home win over Doncaster Rovers

OS Match Report
"Just shy of the hour mark, Town could have been 3-1 up, however Connolly’s header beat the keeper but not the goal."

Twitter stuff
52' - Gibson with more good defensive work - he's impressing on his debut!
58' - Connolly meets Andrew's free-kick but he's under pressure, forcing his header to go wide.
89' - Vital block from Connolly denies Ennis from inside the box.

Nathan Broadhead and Matthew Pennington were not in matchday squads. (Still recovering from injuries?)

Another one off to the Everton treatment room...

...that’s a great shame for the lad. It must be a bad one, quotes from some suggesting his season could be over. It makes his contract situation all the more interesting, more specifically if he‘ll be released or offered a new deal.
Would probably do what they did with Harry Charsley, help him get fit with a six month contract and find him a club at the end of it
